December 18, 2018 coincided with the celebration of the 40th anniversary of China’s Reforms and Opening-Up held in Beijing. The regional headquarters Sinotrans on the Silk Road in the Eurasian region was officially opened in Belarus on this special day.
Board member of CMG (China Merchants Group), head of the CMG representative office in Central Asia and the Baltic region Hu Zheng and Sinotrans CEO Li Guanpeng attended the opening ceremony and delivered a keynote speech.
Hu Zheng, on behalf of China Merchants Group, congratulated on the official opening of a regional Sinotrans headquarters on the Silk Road in the Eurasian region. Sinotrans in the Eurasian region is the first foreign regional headquarters established by China Merchants Group.
It is the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative, and another important measure to accelerate the "entry" to foreign markets. The unified and effective management of regional logistics on the Silk Road contributes to the construction of the Silk Road economy, contributes to the comprehensive improvement of integration with foreign logistics network.
Sinotrans Eurasia should seize the opportunities and meet the challenges by integrating regional resources, establishing uninterrupted business channels, continuously improving the opportunities of foreign agents, buying foreign goods and carrying out operations on the platforms, creating brands in foreign markets and providing quality services to customers.
Li Guanpeng warmly welcomed the guests at the opening ceremony and sincerely congratulated on the creation of Sinotrans headquarters in the Eurasian region. China-Belarus Commerce and Logistics Park China Merchants is selected as the center for management and development activities in Central Asia, Russia, Ukraine, Mongolia, Belarus, the Baltic states, Poland, Germany and other countries along the route, and in regional offices. Regional Headquarters Sinotrans on the Silk Road in the Eurasian region will serve as a single window for foreign business of Sinotrans on the Silk Road in the Eurasian region, focusing on the procurement of capacities and freight rates, and improve efficiency and reduce costs due to close cooperation with railway companies and corresponding departments in the Eurasian region. To maximize the interaction of the Eurasian logistics channels and solve the problem of reverse supplies on the China-Europe route, and to integrate and expand the flow of related customers in the Eurasian region.
