Sinotrans Representative Office in Mongolia

The Representative Office of Sinotrans Changhang Group in Ulaanbaatar was established in 2011. After 9 years of transformation, it has evolved from an operational unit into a functional management division. According to the Articles of Association, the main purpose of the Representative Office is to promote and coordinate activities within a single system, provide services, improve the corporate image, exchange information on bilateral trade, represent the company and defend its interests. In November 2018, the representative functions were officially assigned to the regional headquarters of Sinotrans on the Silk Road in the Eurasian region. The positioning of the representative office has evolved from a management division, and the task to develop transportation as a core business has been re-defined. The certificate of the Representative Office's activity belongs to the Chinese Foreign Trade and Transport Corporation; in 2020 Sinotrans Changhang Group Representative Office in Ulaanbaatar will undergo some changes, the new name of the Representative Office will be Sinotrans Representative Office in Ulaanbaatar. Currently, there is one Chinese and two Mongolian employees working in the Representative Office.

Sinotrans Representative office in Ulaanbaatar delivers goods from abroad through China's coastal ports (such as Tianjin, Qingdao, Weihai, etc.), then transits them through China by railroad and delivers cargoes to Mongolia, Russia and in the opposite direction. The Representative Office has accumulated a wealth of experience in transporting transit goods and bulk materials over the continental bridge. Main activities: international combined transportation, maritime and rail combined and transit transportation, road transportation. As trade between China, Russia, and Belarus grows constantly, many railway transportation channels from Asia to Europe have been opened. In order to provide more opportunities for transporting the goods from China's hinterland to Russia and Belarus, as transit trains through Manchuria are now operated at almost full capacity, more convenient transit channels will be provided to significantly reduce delivery time, provided that Mongolia modernizes its own infrastructure.
