Duisburg is the world's largest inland port as well as a railway, water and road transport hub in Central Europe, being the westernmost point on the Belt and Road Initiative route. It is the final destination for many container trains on the China-Europe route. It is also home to many international logistics companies. Sinotrans Corporation opened its Representative Office in Duisburg in April 2019, further strengthening its cooperation with its strategic partner Duisburg Port Group. A sales point was opened for the direct development of freight resources in the European market for container trains on the China-Europe route. Contacts have been established with railway operators and container train services providers on the China-Europe route, coordination of activities to expand the services accompanying container trains on the European side is being carried out, and integrated product chains are being developed for the supply of container trains on the China-Europe route. The Representative Office is promoting the product line of China-Europe container trains to increase Sinotrans recognition and market share of China-Europe container trains.
