On the morning of December 11, the project on the construction of the first stage of the China-Belarus Commerce and Logistics Park was launched, and the launch ceremony was held at the project construction site. Hu Zheng, Chairman of China Merchants Group Board, the Head of China Merchants Representative Office in Central Asia and the Baltic region, has announced the official launch of the project, and he was congratulated by the Deputy Head of the Belarus President Administration, Mr. Snopkov. The opening ceremony was also attended by Liu Xuesong, trade counselor of the Embassy of the PRC in Belarus, Deputy Minister of Economy of Belarus Mr. Yaroshenko, Minsk Oblast Governor Mr. Shapiro, Director of the Board of the China-Belarus Industrial Park and others.
After several months of hard work, the China-Belarus Commerce and Logistics Park China Merchants completed the preparatory stage of work. Construction of the project was officially launched. The project covers the area of 1 square kilometer, where the facilities with the area of 100 000 square meters will be located, including logistics warehouses, trade exhibition center and a business center. The total investment will amount to USD 150 million. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2016.
