On May 12, at 10 am Minsk time, colorful flags were hung on the square in front of the trade exhibition center in the China-Belarus Commercial and Exhibition Center to mark two years after Xi Jinping, the President of the People’s Republic of China, and the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko visited the China-Belarus Industrial Park. An official ceremony of the completion of the first phase of construction was held in the China-Belarus Commerce and Logistics Park. Vice Prime Minister of Belarus Mr. Kalinin, member of the Board of China Merchants Group, head of China Merchants Representative Office in Central Asia and the Baltic region, CEO of the China-Belarus Industrial Park Development Company, Mr. Hu Zheng arrived at the scene of the ceremony by bus, launched on that day along the route Minsk-CBIP.
In his speech, Vice Prime Minister Kalinin said that over the past two years due to the joint efforts of China and Belarus, the appearance of the starting area of the China-Belarus Industrial Park has undergone a fundamental change: the construction of the starting zone with area of 3.5 square km was accomplished in China-Belarus Industrial Park. With the support of the construction, schools, hospitals and other ancillary facilities will be built in the future. Currently 9 enterprises are located in the park.
Further Mr. Hu Zheng announced that the China-Belarus Commerce and Logistics Center China Merchants started operation in the test mode, and two container trailers slowly drove into the park. Approximately one hundred people from CMCB, employees of the participating companies and business partners of the company have witnessed this exciting moment.
